Fri, 26 September 2008 Tasty Dog in the Kingdom: This Cambodian Life #49. Thinking she has nothing to talk about, Delilah sets off and covers a bunch of stuff. She is definitely moving to a new apartment and has already given money to the landlady and eagerly anticipating visitors in November. A few little cultural tidbits include the P’chum Ben holiday to honor the ancestors, a former school now genocide museum that is a must visit in Phnom Penh and Cambodia’s current ranking in Transparency International’s corruption list. www.tastydoginthekingdom.com or questions/comments to tastydog@gmail.com. Fri, 19 September 2008 Tasty Dog in the Kingdom: This Cambodian Life #48. Delilah waxes on about the weather in this episode. Literally kneedeep in the rainy season, there is more than one reason to live on the second floor. She also names the three rivers that flow around www.tastydoginthekingdom.com or questions/comments to tastydog@gmail.com. Wed, 17 September 2008 ![]() TD-TV #7. Take a tour of the deliciously titillating world of Cambodian kickboxing. Remember, as a barang, you too can march up front, take out your camera and start to film. Please note the thumps as they hit each other....not for sissies. And no, Delilah didn’t put ANY money of any of these matches. www.tastydoginthekingdom.com or questions/comments to tastydog@gmail.com. Comments[0] |
Thu, 11 September 2008 ![]() Tasty Dog in the Kingdom: This Cambodian Life #47. Delilah Marie is BACK. Yes, she had her vacation, which extended into an extra vacation from the podcast. Firstly, she apologizes and promises to do better, then launches into highpoints of returning to Cambodia, including motorbike rides, traffic (of course), the welcoming smells of Phnom Penh (of course), new neighbors who have a bit of a spiritual disconnect with Delilah and the treat of a world championship title. What a triumphant return to the Kingdom after the clean, shiny and orderly west. www.tastydoginthekingdom.com or questions/comments to tastydog@gmail.com. Preap Sovath’s dulcet tones welcome us all back on a song that itunes reads as “track 7”. Though a good 15 seconds of flute intro has been deleted for your pleasure. Comments[0] |
